Frequently asked questions

Before your first visit.

Answers to common questions. Your medical assessment determines the right care for you.

Does treatment always require inpatient care?+

Centro NTX focuses on outpatient care. However, a different level of care may be necessary when a person cannot stop using substances safely or there is a risk to the patient or others. This is determined during the assessment.

Can I receive care if I already see another specialist?+

Yes. Medical care may complement psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, support groups or other interventions when clinical care is coordinated.

Is care confidential?+

Yes. Communication is handled discreetly and respectfully. Avoid sending sensitive medical information through open channels if you do not wish to share it that way.

Can I request orientation by video call?+

Yes. You may request an introductory video call or an in-person assessment. The team will confirm the appropriate format and availability after receiving your request.

What should I do in an emergency?+

For loss of consciousness, breathing difficulty, seizures, violent behavior or risk of self-harm, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. This website does not provide emergency care.
